After creating the logo for the podcast network, I was commissioned to make thumbnails and logos for three movie review shows, the first being about monster movies
This podcast had a pretty concrete style inspiration, so taking some color swatches from the movie poster pictured above, and using my own style I created cartoonish caricatures of the hosts surrounded by the universal monsters.
The first three images are typographic explorations of the title, using typefaces that evoked the style and time period of the original poster referenced by the client. The final image is the final type treatment with initial colors.
